Who are we?
Founder/Director | Voice and Communications Coach (MA Voice, LSDE, BA hons)
Jude runs Speaking Works which provides voice and communication coaching for businesses and privately. The workshops she runs covers anything from presentation skills, articulation and managing nerves to managing difficult conversations. Jude is also a visiting lecturer at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Previous clients include Vodafone, TUI, Disney, Ketchum PR, TeachFirst, FDA, Accenture.
Jude is skilled in presentation technique and public speaking. As a coach, the combination of her previous roles in office environments and the skills that were required there combined with her MA give her a unique understanding of how to communicate with authenticity and impact in various situations. Jude believes that excellent communication is about confidently being yourself whilst having an awareness of what you are saying and the impact of your physical and vocal expression.
Alongside corporate voice coaching Jude also runs Speaking Works Young Voices providing speech and drama classes for children in Herts, Hove and China. Before this she worked as a peripatetic LAMDA (The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) teacher at various schools. Whilst living in Hong Kong Jude introduced LAMDA examinations to a learning centre which is now the official representative for LAMDA.

Lauren first joined Speaking Works as a volunteer in 2013 after finishing her A-Levels. Lauren spent two years facilitating in local drama and storytelling classes as well as stage schools, working with pupils from 18 months to 18 years old. She is also currently a peripatetic LAMDA teacher at St Albans High School for girls. Lauren graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama where she studied Drama, Applied Theatre and Education. During her degree, she worked with young people, directing GCSE students, assisting with musical theatre workshops and regularly running drama workshops for primary ages. Lauren has performed and facilitated in various community settings, such as in children’s hospices, with elders with Dementia and vulnerable women. We have been proud to see Lauren go on to do exciting things in the world of drama facilitation and teaching and are excited to have Lauren back now working with Speaking Works!
