LAMDA: The London Academy of Dramatic Art

Examinations in Communication and Performance

LAMDA exams are the speech and drama equivalent of a music grade. They run from Introductory level to Entry followed by grades 1-8. “LAMDA’s communication examinations provide the opportunity to develop a clear speaking voice, positive body language and self-confidence by exploring different uses of spoken English…LAMDA’s performance examinations use drama to develop self-confidence, physical presence and a strong speaking voice.”

We prepare all pupils to take an exam should they wish to. This could be reciting a short poem and having a conversation for a 6 year old or performing 3 pieces from a Shakespeare soliloquy to a modern day text for a 16yr old.

Our next private centre examination session for pupils in Hertfordshire will be:
March 2020 - St Albans

Pupils not only gain vital communication and performance skills but also UCAS points through completing the higher level examinations. The list of skills that can be acquired through preparing and taking these exams is extensive, for more information please visit:
